It’ll be in the top left corner by the staircase. The Sun Crest can be found in the Zanarkand Dome where you fought Yunalesca. Like the rest of the Crests, Tidus’ Sun Crest is straightforward enough to obtain. Don’t worry - by collecting both the Sun Crest and the Sun Sigil, you can upgrade Tidus’ Celestial Weapon to its full potential. You’re also prohibited from modifying Caladbolg to add your own attributes.
Now that you have Tidus’ Celestial Weapon, you’ll notice it has one of the single most terrible abilities possible: No AP. Tidus can then use the Celestial Mirror on the altar found in the area to obtain Caladbolg. The path forward from here used to be blocked by a guard, but after winning the race, they will have vacated their post, allowing you to continue forward on this narrow pathway down into the gorge. After defeating the chocobo trainer, make the trip over to the upper northwest area of the Calm Lands. To obtain Caladbolg, head over to the Calm Lands and challenge the chocobo trainer to a race. According to legend, this mystical sword was once wielded by the Mythological Ulster Cycle King Fergus mac Róich and “made a circle like an arc of rainbow when swung,” with the “power to slice the tops off hills and slaughter an entire army.” Although it has since become a recurring item in the Final Fantasy franchise, it made its first appearance in Final Fantasy X as Tidus’ Celestial Weapon. Tidus’ Celestial Weapon, Caladbolg, is of Middle Welsh origin in name with roots in 10th century Irish mythology. Please acquire the Celestial Mirror first before proceeding. NOTE - if you do not yet have the Celestial Mirror, you will not be able to obtain all of these items.
